Friday night saw another Christmas party kick off with ‘DFM Financial Group Coffs Harbour.’ Everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves & the food went down a treat with all our guests. We are now preparing for another function tonight ‘hooray’ lets get the party started again! My husband is going to be exhausted, but we love it! I feel the need to sing out a big ‘thank you’ to our ‘party patrons’ for choosing Ernies Kitchen as the place for your function in 2019 – big love!
More over, Ernies Kitchen turned 6 months yesterday – where has that time gone – it has been sweat, blood & tears – all worth it though! A massive thank you to all patrons ‘far & wide’ for becoming our regular diners. Ernies Kitchen as you aware was built from ground zero – what an amazing achievement alongside so much risk. Our achievements are a massive collaboration of so many people that saw potential in our vision – you know who you are & thank you whole heartedly. And the biggest thank you goes to our team – we love you guys!
As discussed last week when we feature in FOCUS magazine we highlight 3 dishes of the month. The featured image this week to finish off our trio is the scrumptious ‘Roasted Pork Belly.’ This was an evening special when we launched our Friday & Saturday night dinners. It now places itself firmly on the lunch/dinner Summer menu. It is one of our most popular dishes due its simplicity & food combining, as all the ingrediency are recognisable & hearty. The stuffed apple with beetroot relish & Tasmanian pepperberry garnishes it beautifully, whilst adding the Australian vibe aspect by adding the pepperberry spice. Moreover, the dish presentation with the apple is ascetically stunning – Carl you genius you! The potato bake (dauphinoise) is rich & creamy making it totally delightful. Now we finish it off with our house red wine jus (which takes the chefs over 3 days to prepare) makes your dish ‘Roasted Pork Belly’ complete – I could eat it now (LOL)!
Keeping you reminded, Ernies Kitchen has extended its opening hrs for the Spring/Summer season on Fri & Sat from 6.30am to 10.00pm BYO. Our lunch/dinner menu runs from 11.45am to 10.00pm. This allows for all day dining accommodating ‘everyone’s times & needs.’ Our menu has been designed around a true brasserie concept, which allows for our lunch to move into dinner without much change – but in saying that – we now have several ‘divine’ evening specials (see our website & our Instagram posts).
Finally, availabilities for ‘evening events’ for the month of January, February & March for 2020 we are now taking reservations for these functions.
